In case you missed the fight here are the Lomachenko vs Sosa fight highlights in a performance that wowed the world again.

Plaudits have been coming in left right and center for WBO super-featherweight world champion today following his stoppage win over Jason Sosa last night.

However Sosa also deserves some credit for the considerable heart he showed to hang in there and give it his absolute all against lets face it, an actual genius.

The word probably gets branded about way too often in sports but when it comes to double Olympic gold medallist and two-weight world champ Vasyl Lomachenko, it’s warranted.

With the win last night many are now likely to place him at the top of the mythical pound for pound rankings heap but some exciting fights still lay ahead.

A showdown with fellow stablemate Terence Crawford at a catchweight perhaps in the future could be a real classic. Or a fight with WBO lightweight world champion Terry Flanagan could also be one to watch out for.

For the purists out there though, imagine a fight between Lomachenko against the likes of Jorge Linares or Mikey Garcia.

Obviously Lomachenko will need to move up in weight to get the big fights. Or even move down for some others. For now though, he deserves to enjoy all the success he’s enjoyed in a quick time frame.
