Prediction:

I’ve been holding out on this for a while now, and we’ll also have our own Peter Wells’ prediction on here later this week. But I’m going to take the plunge early on into fight week on my prediction.

Let me firstly say it’s a way more competitive fight than most people probably realize. But I just think Golovkin will be looking to rebound off a sluggish performance (even though he won by TKO) last time out against Kell Brook.

A fight where he got tagged a bit too much for his liking early on and a bout in the beginning where Brook actually pushed him back for one of the first times in his career.

I think he’ll be back to his devastating best come Saturday and use more of boxing skills against the much bigger Jacobs.

For that reason I’m going by GGG mid to late round stoppage.
