160lbs contender Sergiy Derevyanchenko impressed again last night on a Premier Boxing Champions on Fox Sports card that took place in Tunica, Mississippi, USA.

The Russian improved his unbeaten record to 10-0 (8KO) with a 5th round TKO victory over Kemahl Russell.

Derevyanchenko who now boxes out of Brooklyn in New York, eased his way into the bout early on but once he found his groove after that – the writing was on the wall for Russell.

As the fight progressed heavy blows went in for Derevyanchenko and by the fourth round while working at close quarters, he proceeded to break Russell down methodically.

The beginning of the end came for Russell in round 5 when a massive right hand connected on him which hurt him to his core.

Derevyanchenko sensed he had his man in trouble and proceeded to finish the fight with a big flurry that left the referee no choice but to call a halt to the contest.

No doubt another new contender to keep an eye on in the now flourishing middleweight division worldwide in professional boxing.
