Tyson Fury In Fight To Get Weight Down From 350lbs Before May

Video Puts In Context Transformation Of Tyson Fury From 2017 Up To Now

Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in fight to lose an enormous amount of weight if he is to get back in shape in time for a May return like he wants.

Fury has told fans that he will be back in the boxing ring come May, after a nearly one and half year hiatus from the sport since beating Wladimir Klitschko.

Speculation has already started over who his opponent could be.

It’s no secret that Tyson has blown up massively in weight during his time away from the squared circle. But it’s not something he is too worried about he’s told his fans:

350lbs or approximately 25 stone is quite the tally. One would imagine Fury would look to get somewhere around the 19 to 20 stone mark for his first fight back.

In reality, that would be an almost 5-6 stone or 70-84lbs weight drop in just a couple of months if he wanted to box this May.

That’s a tough ask for anybody. Never mind a professional heavyweight athlete who hasn’t competed in 18 months.

There is also the issue of getting his boxing license back by the British Boxing Board of Control, or, if in fact Fury will opt to box in Ireland under a BUI license as he suggested earlier in the week.
