A decent fight overall I thought, and the fact it rated well on TV like it did can only be a positive thing for the sport.

Keith Thurman ultimately came away with the victory via a split decision after a 12 round battle at the Barclays Center in New York.

Both men showed fast hands and their power in flashes, but it was ‘One Time’ who correctly walked away with the judges’ decision.

Could there be a part two after it going to a split decision? Probably.

Although Garcia lost his undefeated record at the weekend, the reality is that most fight fans and indeed casual sports fans tuning into boxing mainly just want to see a good fight between fighters in or at least near their athletic primes.
