The Mexican challenger is in no mood for messing around ahead of his world title shot against Gavin McDonnell next month.
He will challenge McDonnell on February 25th for the vacant WBC super-bantamweight title in Hull.
Travelling abroad in boxing often brings the chance that you will need to perform out of your skin to get the nod over the hometown fighter.
Vargas doesn’t want to leave it in the hands of the judges though when he makes his trip to the UK, saying:
“I know the judges could be an issue. In fact, a gym mate of mine, Julio Ceja, fought his brother and won, but they robbed him. The idea is to go for the knockout otherwise they could rob you.”

Vargas has an impressive record to back up his confident sentiment.
He’s never lost in 28 professional fights to date and carries a solid knockout percentage ratio with a record of 28-0-22KO.
Likewise, McDonnell has never lost in his professional tenure either (16-0-2-4KO.
He will be looking at the 25th of February as an opportunity to achieve a dream in becoming world champion on home soil.
The vacant WBC title is up for grabs in what could be an interesting clash of style on the night – in a possible boxer vs puncher type scenario.
