James DeGale Posts Training Update Ahead Of Badou Jack Unification

James DeGale vs Badou Jack represents the first big fight of the 2017 calendar in many fans’ view and ‘Chunky’ is certainly taking things serious as he narrows in on the final days ahead of his training camp.

DeGale has always been one of the most technically refined, gifted and when on form, all round talented British boxers of the modern era in my opinion, but sometimes he has been guilty of switching off at times.

He knows he can’t afford to do that however in his world title unification with Badou Jack this month in New York as it could be the gate to even bigger fights in the future should he win, in a matchup that many believe will establish who the best 168 pound fighter on the planet is at the moment.

He has given his fans an update on his Instagram account of how training is going and it’s clear to see conditioning won’t be an issue come fight night for the Olympic Gold medallist:

James DeGale posts training update 12 days out:

Jack is a capable operator mind you and isn’t a world champion by accident, as DeGale’s sole conqueror of his professional career thus far George Groves will testify – who lost to Jack in his third attempt at a world title in the past.

Indeed, we touched on here how despite Groves beating DeGale in the early part of their professional careers that their career paths ultimately have now taken very different routes, as faith would have it.

DeGale will face Jack on January 14th at the Barclays Center as part of an impressive start to the Premier Boxing Champions early 2017 TV schedule (full fight list available here).
