Still one of the truly brilliant battles in boxing history. This time 26 years ago all hell broke lose in the boxing ring when two of the UK’s most bitter boxing rivals ever collided for the first time. Time to watch back over the Chris Eubank vs Benn full fight.
26 years seems like a long time ago but in the grand scheme of things it’s not that long ago really.
Both Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn now both have sons who are professional boxers looking to mark their own unique marks on the sport, but it wasn’t that long ago that their fathers were the talk of British boxing.
An almost palpable hatred between the two perpetuated during their active fighting career.
A venom that came to a head on November 18th, 1990 when they fought one another for the first time in Birmingham:

A ferocious battle fought at an unrelenting pace, with ultimately Eubank proving to be the more prepared man on the night.
Later Benn cited that he had not made the weight correctly for the bout and had been heavily energy sapped going into the contest.
They would get it on for a second time three years later to fight to a draw at Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester, UK.
