BoxNation Sign TV Boxing Deal With BT Sport For 2017

Dedicated boxing channel BoxNation sign a new TV deal with broadcast giants BT in the UK and Ireland.

Some big news is coming out of the UK and Ireland today as regards another broadcaster coming into the mix to show boxing action live on TV.

It has a number of exciting implications for fans. Here are some of the things we know about how it will work so far:

.@frankwarren_tv will promote 20 UK live shows on BT in 2017! All 20 Shows will also be live on @boxnationtv

From 2017, BoxNation will be included in the @btsport pack of channels and available to BT Sport customers.

BoxNation customers can look forward to over 30 events per year from around the World, including output deals with Top Rank and Golden Boy.

Exciting news indeed for boxing fans. The more boxing on TV the better.

As regards the boxing business, further competition from a broadcast point of view like this can only be a good thing – ultimately driving up (in theory) the standard of matchups put on for fans and higher purses for the boxers themselves.
