The Manny Pacquiao vs Vargas undercard fights are being live streamed tonight free of charge for the public courtesy of the folks at the Top Rank Facebook page.
The undercard consists of some great action that includes the likes of Robson Conceicao, Alexander Besputin, Teofimo Lopez, Jr. and Xu Que in the preliminary fights on the undercard before the pay per view begins later on over at TopRank.TV.
Much talk has existed coming into tonight’s bout surrounding the main star in the main event, who of course is Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.
Pacquiao is now a Senator in his home country and the odds on the fight with Jessie Vargas tonight for the WBO welterweight title have slightly dropped during the week – with Pacquiao still remaining a firm favorite though.
Some have questioned how Pacquiao has been able to balance a hectic full-time political job in his home country with the rigours involved in a full-time training camp of a professional fighter.
Jessie Vargas comes into tonight as the reining WBO welterweight champion and has been vocal this week on how he vows to:
“Whoop Pacquiao’s a**”.
Time will tell later on tonight in Las Vegas.
The main undercard later on will host some excellent action that will include world champions Zou Shimming and Oscar Valdes, as well as featuring an intriguing fight between Nonito Donaire and Jessie Magdaleno.
The Donaire vs Magdaleno fight is probably the most genuine 50-50 fight on the card and represents a true toss up that could go either way.
Zou Shimming from China has generated a huge amount of interest in tonight’s event from overseas given his massive following in China.
It is rumoured that nearly 20 Chinese media outlets have travelled to Vegas tonight in the States to pick up on the action for viewers back in China.
