Vasyl Lomachenko Picks Golovkin To Beat Canelo

WBO super-featherweight world champion Vasyl Lomachnko picks GGG to come out the victor when the fight between him and Canelo does eventually happen.

Lomachenko is currently deep in training for the biggest test of his pro career thus far. He takes on Nicholas Walters at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on November 26th in a massive showdown.

The whole ongoing Golovkin-Canelo situation has been one of the main vocal points in boxing this year. As fans, boxers and people within the boxing business alike all clearly want to see the fight.

There’s perhaps not many as technically qualified in boxing as Lomachenko to give a prediction on a possible fight.

Considering he is a double Olympic Gold medallist and a two-weight world champion in the pro ranks inside just 7 outings so far (6-1-4KO).

Speaking to Elie Seckbach of ES News on his prediction for the fight Lomachenko said:

“I think triple G because he is a monster. Because he is a monster.”

A short but to the point opinion.

Talks of the fight are still ongoing at this time but with Canelo injured until the early new year and a likely fight for Golovkin against Daniel Jacobs and possibly another fight in the summer – a showdown between the pair is not likely until at least September 2017.

The good news is despite all the frustration of 2016 on waiting on the fight and indeed on many others, the boxing calendar for the end of 2016 and 2017 is now looking very bright here.
