15 Year Old Irish Boxer Hospitalized After Attack By Adult Boxing Coach

A shocking report has emerged from a junior amateur boxing championship that took place in Germany this past weekend allegedly involving a Russian boxing coach and a 15 year old Irish boxer.

Irish team captain for the ‘Queens Cup’ Mary Kate Nevin (15) won the best boxer of the tournament award as well as the gold medal at the competition last Saturday.

However this triumph was to be shockingly short lived after an incident allegedly took place in a hotel where the Irish team were staying.

According to the Cathal McMahon of the Irish Independent Nevin was allegedly punched by a Russian coach who was apparently angered by noise that she was making in the hotel.

The Irish team have since returned home following the completion of the tournament.

The team had a very successful competition overall.

As per the IABA (Irish Amateur Boxing Association) official website the team picked up seven gold medals in total. They also won the best youth and junior team awards at the competition that took place in Germany.
