Legendary Female Boxer Katie Taylor Turns Pro and Makes Debut Nov 26

Irish boxer Katie Taylor turns pro today after a stellar amateur career that saw her achieve everything in the amateur code from world titles to an Olympic Gold medal in 2012.

Arguably the greatest female boxer of all time Katie Taylor has hooked up with promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport today in a deal that will see her now transition to professional boxing.

It will see the 30 year old Irish sporting star feature regularly on Sky Sports television. Her career will be managed by Irishman Brian Peters.

Katie will make her debut next month on November 26th at the Wembley Arena on the undercard of Tommy Coyle vs John Wayne Hibbert.

It is understood she will then make her second appearances just a couple of weeks later on what is expected to be one of the biggest events of the year on December 10th when IBF heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua makes his next world title defence.

It is expected Taylor will feature on the undercard of the show.

This will come as big news to Irish boxing fans, female boxing fans and indeed world boxing fans alike, given the considerable achievements Taylor has built up during her time in the sport of boxing.
