This Muhammad Ali tattoo is pretty cool to be fair. NBA star D’Angelo Russell has had his little piece of ‘The Greatest’ put on his leg for the rest of his life.
It’s hard to believe it’s been already three months since the sport of boxing lost one of it’s greatest ambassadors.
Indeed, the world lost one of it’s greatest human beings on June 3rd, 2016. A day that will forever be etched in our minds.
It was the day Muhammad Ali passed on from this Earth aged 74 years old.
But his legacy is something that will live on forever, for as long as this planet exists in my opinion. He was one of those rare human beings who came along in life who really did cause genuine change in the world.
This titanic legacy will also be forever remembered in our current sports era with superstar basketball players like D’Angelo Russell paying tribute to Ali on his body:

A pretty cool tribute if ever there was one.
Over the last few months I’ve found myself watching more of Ali’s old fights and speeches online since his death, through the many videos that exist on YouTube and elsewhere.
From a boxing perspective his lightning fast combinations, immense courage and incredible footwork are still to this day in 2016, quite remarkable to bear witness to.
But it was perhaps outside the ring for me at least, that I will always remember him. For what he stood for as a man, what he did to inspire people – regardless of where you come from, colour of your skin or nationality.
It’s hard to pay tribute in words to such a special man, as none of us will probably ever be able to relate the greatness he achieved in life.
To me, he represented an idea that man no matter how big a challenge he faces, can overcome adversity no matter what. He made the impossible possible. He made boxing magic.
He is way, way above the word ‘legend’ that is used too often these days. A once off human being that will never be forgotten. Ever.
