Unbeaten Heavyweight Clash Andy Ruiz vs Hughie Fury In Play For UK

The heavyweight boxing scene is alive and well once again and two of the top undefeated prospects in the division could be set to collide in a cross-Atlantic showdown.

The United States and United Kingdom boxing worlds have long enjoyed a rivalry down through the years and as this new era for the sweet science continues to progress, this old competitive flame seems to be coming back to life more and more, with talented young fighters continuing to come through from both countries.

This is very apparent at the top of the heavyweight division at the moment, with the likes of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua from the UK forming a rivalry with American Deontay Wilder, but just beneath that top tier, another undefeated US and UK heavyweight could be about to meet.

Undefeated Mexican heavyweight Andy Ruiz Jr (28-0-19KO) who now resides in Imperial in California, USA, (according to a source of ours in the United States) might be about to put his ‘O’ on the line against fellow unbeaten heavyweight Hughie Fury (20-0-10KO) either at the end of October, or the start of November in the UK.

These are the types of fights that fight fans want to see – undefeated contenders fighting each other to find out who the best is.

Ruiz must first come through a fight with Franklin Lawrence next month however when he defends his NABF heavyweight title.

Hughie Fury’s last fight came back in April when he defeated Fred Kassi on points for the vacant WBO Inter-Continental heavyweight title and has also been recently linked with a fight with IBF champion Anthony Joshua later this year.
