Danny Garcia Dad Names Price For Pacquiao To Fight His Son

Danny Garcia as things stand does not have an opponent yet for later in 2016. However he has been linked with a host of names this year including the likes of Andre Berto, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

Garcia (32-0-18KO) was recently reported to be very close to signing to fight Andre Berto next up, although no official announcement has came as of this time.

Last month it was also mentioned that Garcia’s father had turned down an offer believed to be in the region of $3-4 million for his son to face boxing great Manny Pacquiao.

It would appear that to make the fight happen the bid just fell short.

Speaking to Elie Seckbach of ES News, father to Danny Garcia, Angel Garcia said to get a Pacquiao fight over the line it would take:

“Manny needs to get to $4 million. We get whatever he’s getting.”

He added:

“He fights for the Filipino people, we fight for the American people. God bless America.”

Pacquiao is due back into the ring later this year in November at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas but is still looking for an opponent.

Garcia last boxed in January when he won a unanimous decision points victory over Robert ‘The Ghost’ Guerrero.
