Rigondeaux Accesses Frampton Win, Would Love To Fight Him

‘The Jackal’ is currently basking in the finest win of his career but it appears a Cuban boxing wolf is on the prowl for him once again – as Guillermo Rigondeaux accesses the Frampton victory over Leo Santa Cruz last night.

The pair were linked for a number of years for a fight at 122lbs but with Frampton’s moving up to the featherweight limit of 126lbs, it would have seemed that the fight was gone for good.

But not judging by Guillermo Rigondeaux’s comments on Twitter moments after Frampton’s triumph over Santa Cruz last night.

It appears that he would be willing to step up to featherweight, as that’s the only logical way a fight could ever likely happen now.

Here’s what ‘Rigo’ said on the win last night:

Congratulations to @CarlFrampton . I hope now we can settle our difference. I am available to travel to your hometown and do it there.

I am not going to criticize @leosantacruz2 . The kid have a heart and he did all he could vs a guy that was obviously a better boxer.

He also added he’d be willing to travel to Frampton’s hometown for the fight:

He finished up his evening’s tweeting with this ominous picture:
