Kazakhstan’s up and coming junior welterweight prospect Sergey Lipinets is quickly building a reputation as a man to watch out for 140lbs. His latest performance from last night further added to his growing stock in boxing (Lipinets vs Castillo highlights below).
Lipinets improved his record to 10-0 (8KO) with a seventh round TKO of Walter Castillo on a Premier Boxing Champions card in Mississippi, USA.
Momentum is now being built for Lipinets who prior to this bout, was also coming off the back a very impressive stoppage win over the respected Levan ‘The Wolf’ Ghvamichava.
With an extensive amateur pedigree and still being only 27 years old, Lipinets certainly has a bright future in the sport of boxing.
Last night the straight right hand was to prove to be a key weapon, along with some solid right hooks that landed on Castillo in spots.
An exciting talent with plenty of potential, it will be interesting to see how he is matched next up in the 140lbs division – where champions like Ricky Burns, Viktor Postol and Terence Crawford currently sit on top of the pile.
