Chris Arreola On What He Thinks Is Best Thing To Come Out Of Deontay Wilder’s Hometown

Deontay Wilder and Chris Arreola will throw down for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world next week in Alabama and challenger Arreola has passed some opinions on the State of Alabama where Wilder is from ahead of their fight.

The match came about recently at relatively short notice, following what was supposed to be a defence of the title for Wilder in Russia against Alexander Povetkin.

However, outside the ring issues which have been well documented at this point, forced the fight to be postponed, then called off, and Deontay now finds himself back on home soil in his native Alabama competing against fellow American Chris Arreola.

The fight which will be shown on Saturday July 16th as part of a Premier Boxing Champions telecast, represents probably Arreola’s (36-4-1-31KO) last shot at a world title at 35 years of age.

But that isn’t stopping the Californian being in a good mood this week in the run up to his massive opportunity, as camera footage below will attest too.

Arreola has always been a tough and game heavyweight (with a solid punch) and at one time in his career, was very high in the world rankings indeed, just falling short at the final hurdle against Vitali Klitschko and Bermane Stiverne in title challenges.

He’s also always been an entertaingly honest character and here’s what he thinks is the best thing to come out of Wilder’s (36-0-35KO) hometown ahead of their clash next Saturday:
