Video: Tyson Fury Explains Why Klitschko Rematch Is Postponed

News that no boxing fan wanted to hear has emerged this afternoon, as heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury has announced that the upcoming rematch with Wladimir Klitschko in Manchester on July 9th will be postponed.

The fight has been building for a number of months now and this news comes with just a couple of weeks to go due to an injury sustained by Tyson Fury.

Today on Tyson’s Instagram account, after only earlier posting his response to Klitschko’s comparison of him to Hitler, Tyson has revealed that while running in the Lake District during training he “went over” on his ankle – causing a bad sprain.

Although it is not broken, Fury says that it is severe enough of a sprain where he will need to keep weight off it for six plus weeks on the advice of doctors.

Trainer of Tyson and uncle Peter Fury confirmed that the fight will take place at the same venue with news to follow on a new date:
