Tyson Fury Calls Eddie Hearn Out On Sky vs BoxNation

Boxing banter on Twitter, you’ve got to love it at times, despite it’s crudity and often vulgar nature. But after all, this is the fight business.

Recently promoter Eddie Hearn mentioned in an interview with IFL TV that he wouldn’t be surprised if he saw the upcoming Tyson Fury vs Wladimir Klitschko heavyweight title rematch take place on pay per view, despite the fact the fight is only a number of weeks away now.

What Hearn probably meant was, that he wouldn’t be surprised if BoxNation put the fight on as a pay per view fight but in all reality, I can’t see how that would be possible as the bout takes place on July 9th – in just over two weeks time.

Reigning heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury has taken issue with this it would appear on Twitter this morning – tweeting at the London promoter:

Dose handsome boy rej @EddieHearn know something We don’t at Team fury? @SkySportsBoxing PPV. Think u mean @boxnationtv the guys with £££££

— #Gypsyking (@Tyson_Fury) June 21, 2016

This has promoted a fair bit of engagement among hardcore fight fans on Twitter debating the tweet, as the pay per view model is always up there as a bone of contention in boxing.

In my own opinion, I just couldn’t see the Fury vs Klitschko rematch being all of a sudden put on as a pay per view by BoxNation, as Hearn has suggested recently.

It’s way too late in the day for that – with the fight only a couple of weeks away.
