Rigondeaux To Fight In The UK This Summer

It has been revealed that Guillermo Rigondeaux will fight next on July 16th in Wales in a re-scheduled super-bantamweight fight with Jazza Dickens.

‘El Chacal’ had been previously due to fight Dickens back in March but visa issues were to stall the process at that time.

According to Elliot Foster of Boxing Scene, that visa issue has now been resolved and the great Rigondeaux who is revered by boxing fans the world over for his pugilistic skills, will now apply his trade next month on the undercard of Liam Williams and Gary Corcoran’s British and Commonwealth super-welterweight fight at the Cardif Ice Arena.

Rigondeaux was recently elevated to WBA ‘Super’ champion at 122lbs following previous champion Carl Frampton’s decision to move up to featherweight.

A shot at a world title for Jazza Dickens will represent a massive opportunity, besides the fact of getting a chance to beat one of the modern era’s pound for pound most talented boxing products.

For those not familiar with Rigondeaux’s work, here is a brief tribute from celegan1 on why so many respect his boxing game:
