Liam Smith Eyes Kell Brook After Destroying Radosevic

WBO super-welterweight champion Liam Smith was in scintillating form this weekend as he stopped Montenoegro native Predrag Radosevic inside of two rounds last night.

The Liverpool man was fighting in front of hometown fans at the Echo Arena and didn’t disappoint.

In his second defense of his belt he looked very assured and measured in his work in the first round and on the night that the boxing world had lost one of it’s special fighting sons, Muhammad Ali, Liam Smith was in top form as he landed a devastating body shot in the second round that brought an end to the contest.

The win moves Smith’s record to 23-0-1 (13KO) and after the fight the champion told James Helder of IFL TV that despite being linked with Canelo and Cotto and being interested in those fights, a domestic showdown with IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook is the one he wants:

“I’d rather fight Brook, probably. Even that, I didn’t come home from America and start calling Kell Brook out. They mentioned 154lbs. Whatever got said between Frank (Warren) and Eddie (Hearn) and Frank made an offer that’s where it would you know, come into it. I’m a fighter as I say, I want them fights. So that’s the one I’d rather have. If they were all going to say yeah and they can be made tomorrow I’d rather Kell Brook.”
