Amir Khan suffered a crushing knockout defeat to Canelo Alvarez this past weekend but seemed magnanimous in defeat afterwards.
A knockout defeat like Amir Khan suffered at the weekend will likely take some time both physically and mentally to deal with, and come to terms with, but if there is anyone who can bounce back from knockout defeat in boxing – perhaps it is Amir Khan.
He has, after all, being here before – notably following big stoppage defeats to the likes of Breidis Prescott and Danny Garcia.
There’s no doubt that he was well compensated for last weekend’s bout in Las Vegas with Canelo, but more than anything he comes across as a very proud and perhaps overly brave man, who’ll want to put the record straight by getting back in the winners column and take a risk against someone in his own weight class.
