Oscar ‘The Golden Boy’ De La Hoya caused Amir Khan to have a good chuckle this week, along with many other UK sports fans.

Fight week has been in full flow all week ahead of this weekend’s Canelo Alvarez and Amir Khan showdown from interviews, to press conferences, to social media debate, to 24/7 segments.

One particularly funny clip we came across involved a bit of a faux pas from the American De La Hoya – when it came to his knowledge of UK sports.

Which can be forgiven, to be fair.

Recently in football (or soccer to American readers) Leicester City defied all the odds when at the start of the season where they started out as a 5000/1 underdog, went on to actually win the English Premier League.

When Oscar was talking about how Amir Khan is an underdog against Canelo, you can kind of see what he was trying to get at – although he gets the trophy in question completely wrong:
