Golovkin vs Wade TV Ratings

Gennady Golovkin’s most recent outing in the ring last weekend pulled in the highest ratings for a boxing show on HBO so far in 2016.

Golovkin ran out easy winner in the end over previously unbeaten Wade, as ‘GGG’ tore throw the American inside of two rounds.

The fight performed decently on TV with the following figures were reported by journalist Mitchell Abramson:

Golovkin vs. Wade peaked Saturday on HBO at 1,388,000 viewers. Gonzalez vs. Arroyo averaged 1,001,000 viewers, peaking at 1,140,000 viewers.

It is widely anticipated that Golovkin will next face WBC division title holder Canelo Alvarez, should he come through his upcoming fight with Amir Khan.

If Canelo then chooses not to fight Golovkin, the WBC have said they will then have no choice but to strip him of his title.

For those who didn’t get a chance to see Golovkin’s latest demolition in the ring, here are the highlights of his fight this past weekend via HBO:
