David Haye has never been one to mince his words and with a potential fight against new British heavyweight sensation Anthony Joshua a possibility in the future, he’s had some stern remarks this week towards the Olympic Gold medalist.
Haye’s always been a man who’s done things his way, never shy to give his opinion, which has won him fans on top of his knockout fists, as well as created his fair share of detractors over the years.
The salesman in Haye is starting to come to the forefront of British boxing once again, following a successful return to the ring earlier this year over the unheralded Mark de Mori, when the Londoner blasted out the New Zealander inside one round.
A fight with Joshua has been talked about frequently over the last number of months, but now with Joshua challenging for the IBF heavyweight title on April 9th against Charles Martin in London, a potential bout between the two big name boxing men from London could become a tangible reality in the future, should Joshua emerge victorious with the belt of course.
It would no doubt do big numbers on Sky Box Office per pay view given the drawing power of both boxers, coupled with their big punching styles, and the whole young lion vs old lion story line which would inevitably unfold.
