Tensions finally mounted and almost spilled over at today’s press conference between Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg ahead of the pair’s huge clash at the Manchester Arena on Saturday.
Throughout the buildup to this mega super-bantamweight world unification title fight, the disdain exhibited between both camps has been evident.
At times it seemed like a bit of banter, but the genuine dislike for one another has been coming more to the surface in recent weeks, whether it has been back and forth verbals between the trainers of the fighters Joe Gallagher and Shane McGuigan, or whether its been stern remarks towards promoter Eddie Hearn from Carl Frampton himself.
Today Frampton let Hearn have it verbally, after initially delivering some choice words after the London promoter tried to intervene between Frampton and Quigg’s face-off, where it could be seen that Hearn put his hands on Frampton, prompting ‘The Jackal” to tell him “Get your f****** hands off me” – and perhaps a few other words after that…
