WBA champion Scott Quigg has brought up old sparring and gym stories in the build up to his massive unification world title fight on Saturday with Belfast’s IBF champion Carl Frampton.


Some have mentioned that it is an obvious mind game tactic from Quigg and his team to unsettle Frampton ahead of the bout, while others are saying Quigg is using the story to build his own confidence ahead of the pair’s collision at the Manchester Arena.

Frampton briefly touched on the story in the recent Sky Sports Gloves Are Off segment, however he’s now delved into a bit more detail on what really happened.

The incident dates back to an apparent time where Frampton was a novice pro where he was momentarily dropped / stunned in a spar, where his glove touched the ground – but he was not knocked out.
