Manny Pacquiao Apologizes After Labeling Homosexuals “Worse Than Animals”

The 8 division world champion has come in for some heated criticism following controversial comments – Manny Pacquiao apologizes amidst the media storm that has ensued.


Filipino boxing icon Manny ‘Emanuel’ Pacquiao (57-6-2-38KO) has caused a stir with remarks made towards the LGBT community following a clip online that emerged where he said:

“It’s common sense. Will you see any animals where male is to male and female is to female? The animals are better. They know how to distinguish male from female. If we approve [of] male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animals.”

However subsequently since the remarks have come out, Pacquiao has issued an apology for his comments via his Facebook account:

The ‘Pacman’ next returns to the professional boxing ring when he takes on Timothy Bradley in what will be their third showdown in the coming months.

The fight will take place on April 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
