Kelly Pavlik Charged For Air Rifle Incident

The former world middleweight champion last fought in 2012 and has been retired since due to health reasons.

According to latest reports from Boxing Scene, former 160lbs world middleweight champion has been charged with assault for allegedly shooting a friend with a pellet from an air rifle. A criminal complaint was reportedly filed last Tuesday in Mahoning County Court.

The incident dated back to last year, when it was alleged the incident took place at the home of Pavlik. TMZ published this video on YouTube at the time of the incident allegedly taking place:

Kelly Pavlik was a formidable middleweight champion in his day, possessing considerable punching power and holding two notable big wins over Jermain Taylor – on route to winning and defending the WBC and WBO world middleweight titles (in 2007 and 2008).
