Kovalev vs Pascal 2 Odds (Betting Preview)

If you are looking for a flutter on this weekend’s light heavyweight world title fight, we’ve got you covered below on some of the betting markets that might be worth taking a look at.

This weekend’s rematch between Sergey Kovalev and Jean Pascal will see Kovalev’s IBF, WBA and WBO 175lbs world titles all on the line at the Bell Center in Montreal, Canada.

As you might expect, Kovalev is the warm favourite with the bookies in the outright markets, but don’t be surprised if a super motivated Pascal turns up, gunning for revenge from his previous 8th round TKO defeat at the hands of the ‘Krusher’ back in March of last year, at the same venue.

If you are looking at the outright markets, probably lumping big on Kovalev is the only way to go to be honest, to get any sort of return. The other option in this market would be a long shot chance in the eyes of sum, if you back Pascal to win outright:

However, if you want a bit more value on tonight’s pugilistic proceedings in Canada, you might want to focus more on the method of victory betting markets. Here on Kovalev you’ll find a bit more benefit.

Many are predicting Kovalev to blow Pascal away inside the distance, but people forget that Kovalev is also a highly adept boxer when he wants to be (remember the Bernard Hopkins fight) and you never know what type of game plan he might employ.

For that reason, a small 5er wager on Kovalev to win on points could be worth a punt, as well as lumping on Kovalev to win by KO/TKO, which will probably prove to be the popular choice with many fans.

You’d be well rewarded for any stakes on Pascal in this partcular betting bracket:

Perhaps the most interesting and fun betting market of the evening however lays in the group round betting offerings, it’s always worth a small wager.

It is certainly an extensive market too, with lots of choice on offer. The obvious choice for a lot of fans might lay in the round (8) where Kovalev previously took Pascal out in last year, but they might be thinking to themselves, what has changed since?

Well, one thing going off the weigh-ins from yesterday, Pascal looks in fantastic condition and really looks up for this one motivation-wise. I think he might last a bit longer this time and Kovalev to win between rounds 10-12 might be worth a small investment, which would be my personally preference tonight.

Here’s an idea of all the different round betting options you have though, ahead of tonight’s light-heavyweight showdown:
