IBF world welterweight champion Kell Brook defends his title in a mandatory hometown title defense against Canadian Kevin Bizier on March 26th in Sheffield, but a grudge match and summer stadium fight with long time rival Amir Khan is what he craves.
Speaking in an interview with Kugan Cassius of IFL TV, Brook has issued Amir Khan some stern words:
“Chat shit get banged, Khan!”
He added:
“Get in and fight with me and I’ll end your career, and you’ll surely hang them (gloves) up then.”
Khan has been vocal in recent days on Twitter saying that Brook is trying to price himself out of the fight:
However according to latest reports, it appears team Brook are now offering a 60/40 purse split in favour of Khan, in a bid to get the fight negotiations over the line.
This would suggest the ball is now firmly in Amir Khan’s corner on whether he will take a June 4th mega showdown with Brook at Wembley Stadium, or opt for a rematch with newly crowned WBC welterweight title holder Danny Garcia.
