Breaking: Anthony Joshua To Fight IBF World Title Eliminator

Speculation has been rampant the last few weeks as to who the UK’s heavyweight starlet and new PPV attraction will face. It now looks like an answer has come.

Richard Damerell of Sky Sports has reported that Anthony Joshua looks set to be offered a final eliminator fight for the IBF heavyweight championship of the world (recently stripped from Tyson Fury) against Carlos Takam (33-2-1, 25KO).

Joshua had also fought his way to the number two spot in both the WBO and WBC rankings, but this latest news of a final eliminator fight for the IBF title will come as a shock to many who might have expected a more domestic level clash next.

It is unclear yet from reports whether or not Joshua will definitely fight in this eliminator on April 9th at the 02 in London or not, or will it come after this, but with just 15 professional contests to his name thus far, he is rapidly going in the right direction.
