Goodjohn vs Garton Ordered For English Welterweight Title

The British Boxing Board of Control today announced that “The Pexican” Johnny Garton (16-1-1) will take on former English Champion “Tornado” Tyler Goodjohn for the vacant English Welterweight title on a Steve Godowin promotion at York Hall on 19th March.

This eagerly awaited 50/50 clash is part of a fantastic show with 4 major title fights and a great undercard. Goodwin is renowned for providing boxing fans with value for money shows and this show is no exception.

As well as this clash the unbeaten Londoner Matthew Chanda takes on Devonian Jamie “The Genius” Speight for the vacant Southern Area Super-Bantamweight title.

In another Southern Area title the unbeaten Goodwin fighter “Special” Kay Prospere (6-0) takes on Danny Carter (6-2) from Swindon. The final 50/50 title match up sees two London prospects Sohail Ahmad (7-0) and Rakeem Noble (9-1) clash in an eliminator for the English Lightweight title.

Chief support to these four Championship bouts sees Karl Wheeler take on the unbeaten Biola Kudus for the British Challenger Belt at Cruiserweight.

Some of the South’s finest talents will be added to the undercard in a mouth watering show.
