The more interesting odds, however, lay in the method of victory markets as relating to what you might get for one of the guys to win by knockout or via a points decision.

Many think Fury’s only chance of winning this is by getting the knockout, as his chances of getting a decision on away soil in Germany are perceived to be relatively slim. You’d be rewarded for such an explosive outcome if it were to happen at around 6/1.

Others are predicting an easy Klitschko win inside the distance, which seems to be where a lot of the money is going at the moment – priced at around evens.

Prediction

Straight off the bat, I think this will absolutely be a more competitive fight than a lot of people think.

Coming into it, there’s almost still a slightly unknown quantity surrounding Fury due to his lack of activity (through no fault of his own) in recent years, so it will be very interesting to see what kind of Fury emerges.

Wladimir Klitschko has been at the top of his craft for a reason for so many years and always fights the same way behind a safety first ramrod jab, which has proven to be incredibly effective.

He strikes me as a man who loves control and has to be in his comfort zone, so it will be up to Fury early on to try to ruffle his feathers and take him out of that.

Heavyweight boxing can end in the blink of an eye, such is the power that two men like these carry. The power edge would have to go to Wlad in this instance, though. Both men weighed in light and look in good nick for 12 rounds.

I have a feeling this one may go the distance and perhaps be more of a boxing match than some might believe, with ultimately the champion getting the win, although don’t rule out Tyson Fury.
