Hughie Fury further proved why he is a heavyweight going places with a sublime second round stoppage of Ezequiel Zarate
Still only 21 years old, Hughie progressed his record to 17-0 (9KO) as a professional.
He boxed clever from the get go and came out very positively with a snapping jab thrown from the hip with good power, looking very relaxed.
Argentinian Zarate seemed out of his depth in the second, as Fury started putting his shots together to the body and head. A heavy right hand sent Zarate crashing to the canvas badly hurt, with the referee calling halt to proceedings.
Fury now moves on to a fight on the undercard of his cousin Tyson’s mammoth clash for the heavyweight title with Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf Germany on November 28th.
After a couple of years of outside the ring (slight) health concerns that were in the end solved with an adjustment in his diet, Hughie Fury is really starting to impress and could very well be knocking on the door of a big fight soon, having recently turned down a shot at current WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder due to not enough notice been given for the contest.
