In a press release issued from Roc Nation, the details of Ward’s opponent are still to be announced, by what is clear is that an agreement is now in place for multiple fights with HBO, with all parties involved clearly delighted to have Ward aboard.

Perhaps the most interesting line in the release came from Roc Nation COO David Itskowitch, who said:

“Starting this multi-fight agreement and Andre’s quest to conquer the light heavyweight division with a fight on the highly anticipated Nov. 21 pay-per-view event is a fitting way to kick things off. We are hopeful that Nov. 21 is the first step toward a 2016 showdown with Sergey Kovalev.”

This will be music to the ears of fight fans long craving to see Sergey Kovalev put in the ring with an apex pound for pound contender like Ward.
