‘The Saint’ recently came up short in his third attempt to win a world title when he was outpointed by WBC super middleweight champion Badou Jack on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather’s final hurrah in Vegas. The Londoner is looking to switch things up.

Speaking on Sky Sports news this morning, Groves stated he is no longer working with former trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick and that he had actually even considered quitting boxing recently – in his first TV interview since losing via split decision to Badou Jack in Las Vegas:
“It’s tough the vast majority of the day, I’m not a content person. I want to go on and achieve more, win world titles and be involved in the big fights – and that’s still the case now.
After the last fight I think he (Paddy) came to terms with the fact the we just didn’t quite gel, his style of training didn’t work with my style of fighting. He couldn’t get the best out of me he said. I certainly agree with that.”
Groves also sensationally revealed that among the names he was looking at in the UK and abroad for his new coach was renowned team GB trainer Rob McCracken, who previously trained Carl Froch to beat Groves twice, the latter by sensational knockout defeat at the hands of Froch in front of 80,000 people at Wembley stadium.
