After some unusually mild and humble comments lately, Floyd Mayweather Senior is back to his ultra confident self

It surprised me in recent days to hear of Floyd Mayweather Sr talking of retiring when his son hangs up his gloves and also playing down less than complimentary remarks that were leveled at him by opposing coach in May 2nd’s super fight, Freddie Roach.

Perhaps this is a natural thing as one gets older in life, maybe there’s less of a need to engage in such verbal jostling.

Nonetheless, he spoke yesterday of how he see’s the fight with Pacquiao playing out as a very easy one for his son and how he thinks Manny will get hit with a whole load of shots.

Since coming back to his son’s corner and indeed life in recent years after a previous family rift, Senior has done quite the stellar job with his son, perhaps bar the first Maidana fight when Floyd Jr got hit more than he would have liked.

Say what you will about Senior, his defensive coaching wizardry is self evident through his son..

Here’s Senior’s latest thought’s on the fight the world is waiting for, with a little over three weeks to go.
