Doran's Weekend Boxing Bets #Addition 1

Welcome to Doran’s Weekend Boxing Bets! #Addition 1

Happy Friday fight fans! Its that time of the week again where this weekend’s action is almost upon us. I’ve decided to add a new weekly column to the site for all you sports punters out there who like to have a flutter and enjoy an occasional gamble to spice up your sport every now and then!

Boxing traditionally is a sport where the odds can be low but there are a variety of ways that I’ve seen people successfully make a few quid off the sport in the form of strategy’s like:

  • Putting a fight into a multi sport accumulator (or for our friends in Las Vegas – a parlay)
  • Group round betting
  • A combination of fight outcomes in an accumulator/parlay
  • Or lumping something on a fighter to win by standard win, KO/TKO or points

For our first addition I’m going to have a look at the follwoing fights and markets that might be of interest to folks this weekend:

Istanbul, Turkey:

Odlanier Solis v Tony Thompson – I reckon the talented Cuban should have this one and at best price standard win 2/5 would certainly be worth putting into an accumulator/parlay. However if I was looking for a bit of extra value I would have a look at Solis on points at 5/6 – he’s a clever boxer and Thompson has a granite chin so I don’t see this one ending in stoppage, you never know with the heavyweights though.

UK Action:

Kid Galahad to win by KO/TKO. Odds are not up on any of the bookie sites yet but by tomorrow you should get around 1/4 for this and its one if I was doing an accumulator/parlay this weekend I would definitely have down.

Over the next few months there should be a considerable amount of boxing markets opening up that will present a lot of interest, I will be sure to keep ye guys posted on my thoughts/tips every Friday on here.

Enjoy the weekend’s action fight fans!
